Little Rocky Run is a planned community of 2722 homes consisting of 1653 single family homes and 1069 townhomes on 950 acres - with 215 acres kept as open space. The community amenities include three recreation centers, three swimming pools with adjoining baby pools, 16 tot lots, seven tennis courts (two are lighted), and three basketball/multipurpose courts as well as numerous picnic and play areas and miles of paved paths connected to public sidewalks for walking, jogging, and bicycling. The development occupies a total of 950 acres with 215 acres kept as open space for the enjoyment of the residents.
Children attend Union Mill Elementary School (located in the community), Liberty Middle School and Centreville High School.
The community offers organized swimming, soccer, baseball, softball, football, and basketball leagues. Other organized activities available to our young residents include Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Eagle Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Brownies. Dance classes for young people are available in one of our recreation centers.
Periodic free tennis clinics are available to both adults and children.
The community sponsors seasonal events such as a Visit with Santa party, a Spring Egg Hunt, a Halloween parade and party, and a Yard Sale.
Little Rocky Run residents have ready access to Interstate 66, Lee Highway, Route 28, and Braddock Road. A VRE station for those who commute by train is located four miles to the south and there is an “HOV Only” access ramp to Interstate 66 four miles to the east. Dulles International Airport is located 15 miles to the north.
Union Mill Elementary School is located within the community. Centre Ridge Elementary, Centreville Elementary, Liberty Middle School and Centreville High School serve the community. The elementary school of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church is a block away from the community.
Little Rocky Run residents patronize several nearby golf courses, including Twin Lakes, a Fairfax County public course, adjacent to our community. Braddock Road park with athletic fields and a batting cage is nearby and a commercial golf driving range is a mile away.
In addition to the many exciting sights of Washington, D.C., there are a variety of local attractions that appeal to a wide range of interests. These include the Manassas National Battlefield Park, National Air and Space Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, and Tysons Corner.
Seasonal community events include a Holiday Celebration, Oktoberfest, Casino Night, Spring Fling, and Yard Sales in both the Fall and Spring.
