Virginia Run is a 1,405 home, master-planned community on 1,200 acres in western Fairfax County, Virginia. Nestled within parkland, Virginia Run features traditional, single-family homes on lush one-third to five acre lots. Children and adults connect with neighbors and nature on interlacing street sidewalks and an extensive trail system which meanders through Virginia Runs common ground and wooded parkland and flowering meadows. 

The award-winning 18th century style Community Center attracts residents with its enormous swimming pool, tennis courts and tot lot. A second recreation center features tennis courts, basketball court, tot lot and softball and soccer field. Community activities and clubs bring residents together for fun, recreation and charity events. 

Virginia Run children attend Virginia Run Elementary School (located in the community), Stone Middle School and state-of-the-art Westfield High School - all part of the renowned Fairfax County Public School System. Many excellent private schools are also nearby. 

Virginia Run is near churches, golf courses, Bull Run Regional Park, Manassas National Battleground, riding stables, and shopping malls. Virginia Run is located just 25 miles west of exciting Washington, DC, with convenient access to the entire DC metropolitan area.

Every year Virginia Run has an Easter Egg Hunt and party. A family tradition and fun for the whole family. ‚ÄčThis event is geared towards little bunnies and chicks 2nd grade and under. There are games and crafts and a special appearance from the Easter Bunny. The Virgina Run Community holds a Spring Children's Clothing and Toy Sale at the Virginia Run Community Center. The sale is on a consignment basis, with 80% going to the seller and 20% donated to families in need.  Sellers have an option to designate more of their proceeds to go to the familiesThe Fourth of July poolside picnic event is always a big hit!  Complementary hot dogs and hamburgers with all the are provided by some great grill masters! Soft drinks, water and chips are also provided. Every Fall, the Virginia Run holds a community yard sale which is a  huge event and brings folks from all over the Centreville area. Also in the fall is the annual Kids Halloween Party at the community center. This fun event is geared for ghosts and goblins 2nd grade and under. There are games, crafts, tricks, and treats! In December there is the annual Wintefest with horse drawn hay rides, Santa, Dreidel games, cookies & candy, music and arts and crafts. 

The popular annual Virginia Run summer R.E.A.D.S program (Reinforcing Educational Achievement During the Summer) Summer Reading Program is a fun and recreational reading program open to all rising first grade through sixth grade students.  Students that participate are recognized at a special event that will takes in early October.  The program begins in June and ends in September. 

The Virginia Run Turkey Trot 5K is a Virginia Run family tradition. With the 5K race and the 2 kilometer fun walk, the whole family can participate in a fun, healthy activity to start their Thanksgiving Day. Open to competitive runners and runners of all abilities, the race offers short-sleeved T- shirts to all registrants, overall and age group awards in the 5K, post-race refreshments, and random prizes. Enjoy a well- organized community event, and still get home in time to put the turkey in the oven! All proceeds benefit "Life with Cancer," an Inova Health System non-profit program for cancer patients and their families. Last year there were over 4500 registered participants and the Turkey Trot Committee presented a check for 80,000 to Life with Cancer from the proceeds from the event!

Virginia Run also holds several adult events such as the Monte Carlo poolside party and the Riptide adult social. 

 

Centreville is part of the Nationally recognized Public School System. Virginia Run students attend Virginia Run Elementary School, Stone Middle School and Westfield High School. This sought after school pyramid is one more reason to chose Virginia Run.
