Brambleton is located off the Dulles Toll Road about 9 miles south of Leesburg. It is named for a plantation once located in the vicinity. Construction started on the Brambleton community in 2001. Brambleton is an award-winning mater planned community on about 2,500 acres near Ashburn, VA.
The overall layout of Brambleton consists of over 8,000 residential units, including an active adult community; a Town Center with shopping within easy reach. The town center includes specialty boutique shops, banks, salons, healthcare, dry cleaner, veterinarian, grocery store, entertainment, public spaces and more. The Town Center serves as the location for the community’s annual Sizzlin’ Summer Concerts, Farmers Markets, 4 July fireworks display and numerous special events and festivals.
Brambleton was designed to incorporate traditional neighborhood features alongside pedestrian-oriented spaces and streetscapes. Currently the community includes two pools, miles of public trails, tot lots, parks, sports courts and ballfields.
Brambleton Regional Park Golf Course is home to a challenging championship 18 – hole, par – 72 golf course. Brambleton offers a variety of impressive holes with scenic woods and water holes, large bunkers and plush putting greens.
Three Loudoun County Public Schools are located in the Brambleton community: Legacy Elementary, Creighton’s Corner Elementary and Briar Woods High School. One additional public school site remains. Brambleton is also home to two Winwoodchildcare centers. Residents in the development are members of the Brambleton Community Association, a full service homeowners association.
