McLean is an unincorporated community in Fairfax County just a few miles from Washington D.C.
McLean is home to many diplomats, members of Congress, and high-ranking government officials partially due to its proximity to Washington, D.C. and the Central Intelligence Agency. The headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency are located in the Langley area of McLean and the headquarters of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence is also located in McLean. There are also 4 Fortune 500 corporations including Capital One, Freddie Mac, SAIC and Gannet which offer many jobs.
Located between the George Washington Parkway and the town of Vienna, McLean is known for its many upscale homes, as well as for its high-end shopping, such as at the nearby Tysons Corner Center and Tysons Galleria.
